A total of 83 filmmakers, artists and authors were honored with WINNIE Awards at the 2017 EQUUS Film Festival in New York City on November 17-19. They came from near and far with close to 50 there to receive their WINNIES in person. It was a proud day for the following winners:

While the annual EQUUS Film Festival won’t happen again until the weekend before Thanksgiving next year in NYC, the tour stops will kick-off in January with the EQUUS Film Festival MARYLAND Tour Stop.

ABOUT THE EQUUS FILM FESTIVAL

The fifth annual EQUUS Film Festival took place November 17-19 in New York City and is the first event of its kind to offer a home to the storytellers of the horse world, with films, documentaries, videos, commercials and shorts from around the world and also cultural elements of fine equestrian art and literature. EQUUS Film Festival highlights and rewards the diverse and creative efforts of those who pay artistic homage to the horse.
